Benefit Payment Information

English  |  Español

After you file your weekly claim, it will trigger an unemployment benefit payment for that week. You can review your payment information online.

Waiting Week

There is a waiting week for unemployment benefits. For every new benefit year, no benefits are payable for the first week you would otherwise be eligible for benefits. You will receive notice of which week is serving as your waiting week.

How to Check Your Payment Status

To see if a payment has been issued go to my.unemployment.wisconsin.gov:

  • Choose the "My UI Summary" tab
  • In "Payment Information," select "More Info"

If a payment was issued it may take a few days to be available on your prepaid debit card or your bank account. If it has been a few days, contact:

  • U.S. Bank at (855) 279-1271 to ask when the funds will be available on your debit card, or
  • Your bank if it is a direct deposit payment

If a payment was not issued, see if there is an issue pending or a determination denying benefits:

  • From "My UI Summary," choose "Determinations"

If no payment has been made and there are no denials or pending issues, contact a claims specialist at (414) 435-7069.
