  • To discuss procedures for reviewing medical provider charges that were denied by the payor for reasonableness or necessity of treatment

  • To inquire about the process of becoming self-insured (there are rigorous financial and risk management requirements for larger firms that wish to be exempted from the duty to insure)

Bureau of Legal Services:

Responds to legal questions, issues orders and provides dispute resolution activities to resolve non-litigated cases, processes medical disputes and supports activities.

Bureau of Claims Management:

Ensure compliance and provides claims information support and statistical data.

Processing of claims and disability estimates, management of central files and records, research, vocational rehabilitation programs, and assisting public with inquiries. Provides statistical and research support.

Dispute Resolution Section: Provide information regarding worker's compensation law and assist parties in resolving claim disputes. Call (608) 266-1340 or (608) 261-8472.

Regulation of self-insured employers; enforcement of WC insurance requirements.
