File a Labor Standards Complaint

When to file your labor standards complaint online

Labor standards complaints are about wages and hours of work. Use the online Labor Standards form to file complaints related to:

  • Minimum wage
If you believe your employer failed to pay you the minimum wage ($7.25 per hour) or improperly took tips that belonged to you.
  • Overtime
If you believe that your employer failed to pay overtime you were owed.
  • Wage Payment law
If you believe your employer failed to pay wages or other benefits as agreed.
  • Personnel records
If you believe that your employer refused to provide you access to your personnel records.
  • Employment of minors
If you believe your employer failed to obtain work permits for minor employees, failed to give minors required breaks, required minors to work more hours than permitted, or otherwise performed illegal employment acts when employing minors.

Labor standards complaints related to Wisconsin Business Closing and Mass Layoff law, the Health Care Cessation law, or others must be filed using a paper form.
