State as Model Employer: Connecting to a Diverse Workforce E-Learning

All DVR Service Providers are encouraged to take advantage of the State as Model Employer: Connecting to a Diverse Workforce E-Learning. Developed by DWD's State as Model Employer (SAME) Task Force, this E-Learning explores existing strategies to connect job seekers with disabilities to DWD employment and offers practical ways we can all work together to create a workforce that is diverse and inclusive.

New DVR Service Provider staff members will be encouraged to complete the training within the first 30 calendar days of their employment.

The training is anticipated to take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

As part of DWD's State as Model Employer (SAME) Initiative, DWD is building a work culture that welcomes and celebrates the value that diverse life experiences, abilities, and thought processes bring to the workplace. The resources included in this training are available to help you connect talented job seekers with disabilities to DWD and other State of Wisconsin employment opportunities.

If you have any questions about the SAME Initiative, please contact DVR Policy Initiatives Advisor, Patti Johnson. If you need to access this training in an alternate format, please contact DWD Training Officer, Deanna Schulz.
