The State of Wisconsin Worker's Compensation Division, as part of its service to the worker's compensation professional community, presents two free training workshops each year. In 2020, the Worker's Compensation Division (WCD) transitioned from in-person sessions to online webinars, allowing a much broader and geographically diverse audience to benefit. For those who are not able to attend and for those who want to access the webinar content, the materials from the past four workshops are presented below.
With the change to online training, our format continues to evolve as the audience grows. Beginning in November 2022, the webinar content was narrowed to present basic concepts that Wisconsin worker's compensation claim handlers need to understand. The Spring 2023 webinar covered more advanced material, as well as an overview of the basics.
To ensure that the training sessions are as useful as possible to the worker's compensation community, the WCD encourages input and suggestions for topics for future sessions. Please contact the Worker's Compensation Division with your suggestions, so that they may be considered for inclusion in upcoming webinars.
The next workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024. This one-day workshop will focus on how to navigate Wisconsin worker's compensation claims and will include the most current legal updates as well as a more detailed presentation on Delay Penalties and How to Avoid Them.
November 14th 2023! The Wisconsin Worker's Compensation Division will be holding a one day virtual training workshop designed for new-to-Wisconsin worker's compensation parties who handle claims in Wisconsin. Details will be available soon.
