National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)

employer recognizing and celebrating NDEAM

Employers welcoming of the talents of all people, including people with disabilities, are a critical part of DVR's efforts to build an inclusive community. The success of DWD's DVR program depends on Wisconsin employers who know that having an inclusive and diverse workforce is essential to their operations.

Every year, throughout the month of October, DVR celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) – a month dedicated to highlighting the importance of a diverse and inclusive workforce, and a month to share the many successful stories of Wisconsin employers working with DVR to hire and retain individuals with disabilities.

When employers recognize the skills of the individuals DVR serves, what they bring to the workforce, and provide them with a work opportunity, countless successful employment connections are made through DVR and other disability services become possible.
