2024 - 2027 WIOA Combined State Plan

Wisconsin's Program Year 2024-2027 (PY 2024-2027) Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Combined State Plan, developed in consultation with the state's workforce partners, outlines the four-year strategic plan for the state's public workforce development system.

A copy of the plan is available at: https://wioa.wisconsin.gov/

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) was signed into law by President Obama on July 22, 2014. WIOA seeks to more fully integrate states' workforce and talent development systems to better serve employers and job seekers.

Wisconsin is currently in the midst of a two year phased implementation into WIOA, which supersedes the Workforce Investment Act (WIA). As the state's federally-designated workforce agency, the Department of Workforce Development is tasked with implementation of the law. WIOA seeks to more fully integrate states' workforce and talent development systems to better serve employers and job seekers.

Individuals interested in receiving employment and training services through WIOA should contact their local Job Center about applying for the program.
