The COVID-19 Disaster Recovery Dislocated Worker Grant funds temporary disaster-relief jobs focused on the provision of humanitarian assistance. Project operators have the option to fund disaster-relief jobs that expand capacity of (1) non-profit charitable organizations that provide humanitarian assistance to community members in need due to the direct or indirect impacts of COVID-19 and (2) local public health departments engaged in efforts to educate community members about the threat of COVID-19 and proper safety measures to help prevent exposure to and the spread of the virus. Funds for this grant were provided by the U.S. Department of Labor.
