UI Modernization - Employer Portal Project

New UI Employer Portal coming later this year!

The new UI Employer Portal will retain existing functionality while incorporating features employers need to maintain efficiency and flexibility.

Planned for release in two phases this year, the UI Employer Portal will get a new look and feel, and will require a MyWisconsin ID account for logging in starting this summer. In the fall, phase 2 will include secure messaging, electronic forms (or "eForms"), secure electronic communication and notifications, and appeal options!

Check back often for the latest updates on the Employer Portal project!

MyWisconsin ID At-A-Glance

MyWisconsin ID is the State of Wisconsin's way to securely access state services using a single user ID and password.

All Wisconsin employers will need a MyWisconsin ID account to access the UI Employer Portal starting this summer! This means a MyWisconsin ID account will be needed when filing your quarterly Tax and Wage Reports in July.

Here are some steps you can take now to prepare for the UI Employer Portal transition to MyWisconsin ID this summer:

  1. Create your MyWisconsin ID at https://apps.wisconsin.gov using your work email address.

    • Keep your work and personal matters separate - you may need to use MyWisconsin ID for personal matters while working or after leaving an employer.
    • If you already have MyWisconsin ID for work, you do not need to create a new one.
  2. Verify your email address.

  3. Set up your multi-factor authentication method using a work device, when possible.

    • Use work phones, security keys, or authentication apps.
  4. Keep track of your MyWisconsin ID login information. You will use it to access the UI Employer Portal when filing your Quarterly Tax and Wage Reports in July!

    • Use a strong, unique password. Your MyWisconsin ID account may have access to various state systems with sensitive information. Don’t use your MyWisconsin ID password elsewhere.

More information on how to transfer your employer UI accounts to your MyWisconsin ID coming soon.
