The State of Wisconsin is moving toward MyWisconsin ID, a single personal account offering secure private access to participating Wisconsin government resources. MyWisconsin ID is a personalized email-based ID that offers advanced security in a single sign-on solution. A user's MyWisconsin ID account will replace multiple state logon processes, including DWD ID, saving users from having to remember numerous IDs and passwords for each individual interaction within the state. DWD will begin to migrate its applications to MyWisconsin ID in December. The migration to MyWisconsin ID for all agencies, including other divisions, will happen over the next four years.
Your MyWisconsin ID password must be at least 16 characters long and must be a combination of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Your password should not include your username or your first or last name. Do not reuse passwords.
Please note that you are only allowed to update your password once every two hours.
To update your MyWisconsin ID password, log in (this link will open in a new tab) to your MyWisconsin ID and select Settings from the dropdown menu located in the upper right-hand corner. Follow the instructions to update your password. Once the password has been changed you can login to case portal.
If you forget your MyWisconsin ID password, go to the login page (this link will open in a new tab), enter your email address and click next. Then, click the 'Forgot Password?' link. Follow the instructions to reset your password. Once the password has been changed you can login to case portal.
If you are unable to access your MyWisconsin ID account, contact the Information Technology Solutions Center (ITSC) at 608-266-7252, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The DWD Equal Rights Case Portal is the first DWD resource to use MyWisconsin ID. Other DWD resources will be added to MyWisconsin ID in 2024.
Many state agencies have already started using MyWisconsin ID, including the Department of Children and Families, Department of Financial Institutions, Employee Trust Funds, Department of Corrections, and the Office of Commissioner of Insurance. The Equal Rights Case Portal is the first DWD resource to use MyWisconsin ID, but other DWD resources will be added in 2024. State agencies will continue to add resources to MyWisconsin ID through 2028.
After creating a MyWisconsin ID, you can log into any agency resource that uses MyWisconsin ID using the same credentials.
The benefit of MyWisconsin ID is it replaces numerous account credentials eliminating the burden of having to remember multiple logins for each individual interaction with the state. After creating a MyWisconsin ID, you will use it to access the resources that have been added to MyWisconsin ID.
