This is the skilled wage rate map for apprentices effective April 19, 2023. The skilled wage rates were determined through the local apprenticeship committee wage setting process, which took place between Dec. 19, 2022 and March 5, 2023. This map applies to non-union apprentices in the construction sector. If an apprentice is subject to a collective bargaining agreement, the rate specified in the agreement is the skilled wage rate.
Existing apprentice wages cannot be lowered to the new skilled wage rate without approval from BAS. Employers may increase compensation for apprentices above the skilled wage rate without BAS approval.
