Certify Your Pre-Apprenticeship Program
Community-based organizations, non-profit organizations, technical colleges, and apprenticeship sponsors can contribute to developing a skilled workforce by providing certified pre-apprenticeships.

Review what distinguishes a certified pre-apprenticeship.
A certified pre-apprenticeship has been determined by Wisconsin Apprenticeship to be a program or set of strategies that does the following:
- Prepares participants with skills, competencies, and support to enter a registered apprenticeship.
- Has a documented partnership with at least one registered apprenticeship sponsor.
- Incorporates five required components, explained in the Program Guide.

Submit your application.
- Complete the certified pre-apprenticeship application.
- Gather the additional documents listed in the Program Guide.

If your application is approved, review how your pre-apprenticeship will be reviewed in the future.
Certified pre-apprenticeship programs are reviewed within one year after the first cohort completes. Subsequent reviews occur biennially.
