Program Details
The participants will gain knowledge about persons who have developmental disabilities and physical delays. They will be trained to understand and properly document challenging behaviors, understand legal terminology in dealing with client rights, learn how to administer medication properly, identify medication, possible side effects and what to do in case of a medication error and learn OSHA standards and OSHA safety for assisted living and how to handle exposure incidents. This CBRF training will focus on all components of CBRF certificaiton along with additional competencies designed for healthcare professionals, who arrive with some career skills, to stay employed.
Standards training center is open year round. Applications for training are accepted weekly

This course is offered

CBRF is the lower level entry into the health field. Students are encouraged to further their education to CNA then nursing.
Standards currently provide training for over 60+ CBRF's, Adult Family Homes & Assisted living facilities who are always looking to hire our students immediately upon their completion from the program.
Cost of Additional Training Available: Managers Training-$400.00 C.E.U.-Continuing Education Training-$90.00 CPR/AED-Adult(or Refresher)-$150.00 Positioning, Ambulation, and Simple Transfers-$55.00 Understanding Diabetes-$50.00 Certificate Transcript-$17.00 Other: One-on-One Peer Support (this is for students that will require special accommodations from an additional staff member) $150.00 (2.0 hours maximum)
No program refunds. Costs for the program are based solely on student attendance. If the student does not complete, the required components vouchers are honored for up to three months to allow the student to obtain the requested certification.
