TAYLOR TRANSITIONAL WINDOWS & DOORS INSTALLATION TRAINING WILL TEACH PARTICIPANTS HOW TO PROPERLY INSTALL WINDOWS AND DOORS. UNIT 1 WILL GIVE OSHA-10 CERTIFICATION & TEACH PARTICIPANTS THE IMPORTANCE OF PROJECT PLANNING, AND KNOWING YOUR TOOLS. UNIT 2 TEACHES PARTICIPANTS HOW TO REMOVE WOOD AND ALUMINUM SIDING, AS WELL AS FRAMING, CUTTING OUT, AND INSTALLING PRE-HUNG INTERIOR DOORS. UNIT 3 TEACHES PARTICIPANTS HOW TO PROPERLY INSTALL AN ENTRY DOORS, PRE-HUNG INTERIOR, PATIO, AND WEATHERIZING DOORS. UNIT 4 TEACHES PARTICIPANTS HOW TO INSTALL STORM DOORS, SECURITY LOCKS, ALSO HOW TO REPAIR A LOCKSET, DO DOOR LATCH REPAIRS, AND HOW TO FREE A STICKY DOOR. UNIT 5 TEACHES PARTICIPANTS FRAMING AND INSTALLING BAY WINDOWS, REPLACEMENT, WEATHERIZING, AND REPLACING STORM WINDOWS. UNIT 6 TEACHES PARTICIPANTS HOW TO PROPERLY MAINTAIN STORM DOORS, REPLACING LOOSE OR STICKY WINDOWS, PAINTING OR FINISHING EXTERIOR, INTERIOR TRIM, AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. OUR PROGRAM GOALS IS TO BE A PATHWAY INTO WISCONSIN REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIPS. GRADUATING PARTICIPANTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ENTER INTO A REGISTERED CARPENTRY-RELATED APPRENTICESHIP WITH OSHA-10 CERTIFICATION (WIS. STATE LAW FOR CONSTRUCTIONS SITES) OR HIGH-PAYING CAREER PLACEMENT, NOT JUST A JOB. ACQUIRING MATHMATICAL, MEASUREMENT READING SKILLS, CRITAL THINKING, AND STRATEGIC PLANNING. OUR PROGRAM GIVES THE PARTICIPANTS THE SKILL SETS THAT ARE NEEDED FOR TODAY'S MANUFACTURING AND CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. AFTER COMPLETION OF OUR PROGRAM, THE PARTICIPANTS WILL GAIN A TAYLOR TRANSITIONAL WINDOW AND DOOR INSTALLATION COMPLETION, ALONG WITH OSHA-10 CERTIFICATION, WHICH WOULD ALLOW PARTICIPANTS TO REGISTER IN A REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIP, CONTINUING EDUCATION, THROUGH EMPLOYMENT, AS WELL AS OTHER OCCUPATIONS THAT UNIQUELY ALIGN WITH THEIR NEWLY ACQUIRED SKILL-SET. We have partnered with ABC (ASSOCIATED BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS) of Wisconsin and Renewal By Anderson, to allow graduates from our program to enter into a Wisconsin registered apprenticeship and/or high-paying career opportunity with Renewal by Anderson or other employer partners. We have also partnered with Project Return to bring participants wrap-around services (ex. HSED, Driver's License recovery, Accuplacer Preparation, How to apply for Wis. registered apprenticeships).
We have partnered with Renewal by Anderson and other employers for job/career placement services. Additionally, their newly acquired OSHA-10 certification is ideal for any construction site, and would stand-out with other employers. Each candidate that enters into a Wisconsin state apprenticeship will be paid as well.
Yes, tutoring is available. We help participants study for HSED, Road test, Accuplacer, and entrance into a Wisconsin registered apprenticeship.
