Standard Precautions Train-the-Trainer Course
University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Division of Continuing Education and Community Engagement
09/06/2012
The Standard Precautions Train-the-Trainer program is a half-day course for individuals who seek to become state-approved Standard Precautions Trainers. This course has been approved by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Quality Assurance and Bureau of Assisted Living. Individuals who complete this course will have achieved a critical skill set and job-ready competencies that will allow them to be an effective, confident and engaging instructor of Standard Precautions. They will be able to teach the curriculum to caregivers using tools and techniques that highly impact adult learning styles. In addition to becoming a state approved-trainer, individuals who complete this course will receive a digital badge. Digital badges are validated indicators of an accomplishment, skill, quality, or interest that can be earned in many learning environments. In higher educations, badges are becoming the preferred way to recognize units of study. Show More

PLEASE NOTE:

If there are fewer than eight enrollments in the training program, only the "Enrollments" number will be displayed; all other data is hidden in order to help protect the students' identities. The "Employment Outcomes" are calculated using information from Wisconsin's Unemployment Insurance Wage database. Most employers are required to report certain employment information to the State of Wisconsin, including quarterly wage information for their employees. Students whose information could not be verified in this database are excluded from these outcomes. If a "0" shows for any of these outcomes, it means that none of the students' information could be verified.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
