State Unemployment Insurance (UI) is a maximum 26 weeks of benefits a benefit year. State benefits for people who are out of work due to no fault of their own, whose employment was subject to unemployment insurance tax, and who meet requirements for wage and work history. You may be eligible for the PEUC extension when you exhaust UI.

Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) is a maximum 24 weeks of benefits through March 13, 2021. Federal extension to state unemployment insurance benefits for people who have exhausted their state UI benefits. Phase out period: Existing claimants who have not exhausted PEUC benefits when the program ends may continue to receive benefits through no later than April 10, 2021. You may be eligible for the EB extension when you exhaust UI and PEUC.

Extended Benefits (EB) program started May 17, 2020 and ended November 7, 2020. It was a 13 week federal extension to state unemployment benefits available during periods of high unemployment in a state. For people who have exhausted state unemployment insurance and PEUC benefits. Up to 13 weeks available during program time. You may be eligible for PUA when you exhaust UI, PEUC, and EB.

Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) is a maximum of 50 weeks of benefits through March 13, 2021. Reduced by weeks received of UI and EB. Federal benefits for the self-employed or people who are otherwise ineligible for state unemployment insurance benefits and extensions, and who are unable to work as a direct result of COVID-19 during each week of benefits. Phase out period: Existing claimants who have not exhausted PUA benefits when the program ends may continue to receive benefits through no later than April 10, 2021.

Supplementary Unemployment Benefit Programs
Claimants who are receiving state unemployment insurance (UI), Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), Extended Benefits (EB) or Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) may be eligible for these benefits on top of their weekly benefit amount for the weeks listed below.
