MADISON – The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) has launched its latest customer service enhancement for job seekers, a chatbot named Mattie Moo on JobCenterOfWisconsin.com.
The chatbot, in the form of a friendly cow icon, allows job seekers to click and receive answers to many questions commonly asked by DWD customers. Developed under a partnership with Google using the Google chatbot platform, Mattie is able to direct customers to the right location/resource without needing to contact staff for assistance. Over time, Mattie will get even smarter as she leverages machine learning from previous interactions with customers and DWD staff expand her repertoire. Mattie Moo's purpose is to improve the ability of DWD customers to engage with the services that will benefit them.
"DWD is in the business of serving as many Wisconsinites as it can so that the people can achieve job security and career success," DWD Secretary-designee Amy Pechacek said. "The addition of Mattie Moo will guide job seekers to the resources they need."
