DWD Assistant Deputy Secretary Danielle Williams

Danielle Williams is the Assistant Deputy Secretary of the Department of Workforce Development.

Williams worked in the State Legislature for over 12 years, during which time she served as Legislative Director for the Senate Minority Leader and Clerk of the Senate Economic Development Committee. She also staffed several legislative committees and state councils, including the Joint Finance Committee, Senate Workforce Development Committee, Governor’s Council on Workforce Investment, and Be Bold Wisconsin Competitiveness Report Steering Committee.

Williams most recently directed government relations for Dane County, where she had previously served as a County Board Supervisor. Williams represented the Town of Cottage Grove, Town of Pleasant Springs, and the Village of Cottage Grove, where she lives with her husband and two dogs.

Williams grew up in Rock County and graduated from Milton High School. Williams earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, her master’s degree in public policy from New England College, and her bachelor’s degree in political science from Edgewood College.
