National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)

From: Knuth, David - DWD
Sent: Wednesday, Setpember 15, 2021

Dear Service Provider,

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is right around the corner!

October is an exciting month to share information about the importance of ensuring people with disabilities have full and complete access to competitive integrated employment in your communities, and throughout the state, as well as the services your organization offers to help consumers and employers make this a reality.

We hope you will join us in promoting NDEAM and the varied services and opportunities for employers and consumers. If you do, we want to remind you about DVR's Communications Policy and Guidance for Service Providers. If you have any questions, or concerns, about content you may create and publish, please don't hesitate to contact us.

As the month gets closer, we wanted to share some resources with you to help celebrate NDEAM:

Attached are this year's NDEAM posters in English and Spanish. They can also be downloaded from the USDOL website.

We hope you are as excited as we are to highlight the incredible work consumers, employers, and all service providers do to commemorate the many and varied contributions of people with disabilities to America’s workplaces and economy.

Please direct any questions regarding this communication to DVR's Communications & Policy Advisor, TJ Jerke.

Happy NDEAM!

Thank you,

David Knuth
