There have been a few common questions and issues arise with the recent creation of training grants and we wanted to share some information.
UW System-UW Colleges
If you have a student attending one of the county based 2 year UW College programs you will need to select UW System from the School dropdown and UW colleges as the campus in the Campus dropdown. The two year programs and training grants are all processed at the same location in Madison even if the student is attending UW-Baraboo for example.
If you created a training for UW-Oshkosh before 7/26 please send Audrey Merten the name of the consumer and IRIS case number. The training grant will need to be redone-UW Oshkosh had an incorrect term configuration entered which showed a single term and summer school.
Duplicate Post-Secondary Credential Entry
For post-secondary programs where you are using the new IRIS training grant feature, you do not need to also manually enter the training program in the Education/Training Module for tracking. So, when looking at your list of consumers in status 18, if you will be using the new IRIS training grant feature this fall for that consumer do not manually enter that program in the Education/Training Module. It will show up there for you.
Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC) will have their entry completed next week-Please wait until then to create and process a training grant to WITC.
These schools do not have completed entries in IRIS:
- CARDINAL STRITCH UNIVERSITY
- COLLEGE OF MENOMINEE NATION
- SILVER LAKE COLLEGE
