The previous DVR Guide to Content for Case Notes and Style Guidelines has been combined and revised into one guidance piece called Case Noting Style Guidance and Best Practice. Several updates were made to include different types of case notes needed at various points in the vocational rehabilitation process.
- IPE Review and Amendment
- General Case Note/Progress/Meetings
April 1, 2015
- Approved by Policy Academy – January 2015.
Previous information included in the Guide to Content for Case Notes and other Style Guidelines
Why is this change being made?
To update and clarify what should be included in case notes and to account for IRIS updates which has incorporated some fields in the case record. The guidelines should serve as helpful reminders to staff when creating case notes and promote some consistency.
All DVR case notes should reflect the guidelines provided to the extent that it is possible given the individual circumstances of case progress.
All DVR staff should review the updated guidelines.
Please consult with your WDA Director or VR Supervisor if you have questions related to the updated guidelines.
