Applied Mechanical CAD Technician

The Applied Mechanical CAD Technician Technical Diploma program is designed for individuals seeking entry-level employment as a Mechanical Computer-Drafting Technician. This program provides the necessary entry-level competencies for producing production-type drawings and documents required for engineering and manufacturing application in mechanical industries. Competencies learned will include: creating mechanical drawings using CAD software, using computer skills to prepare engineering documents and applying 3D computer-generated graphical solutions to illustrate or enhance product designs. Submit documentation of one of the following: high school transcript indicating a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above, ACT composite score of 16 or above, Accuplacer scores, or college transcript indicating a cumulative GPA of 2.5 over a minimum of 12 credits, earned at a single college. MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
