Graduates with the EMT Technical Diploma will have the potential for employment as an Emergency Medical Technician. Successful completion of the EMT program prepares graduates for the National Registry certification exams, required for WI DHS EMT licensure, and entrance into the Advanced EMT and Paramedic programs. Ambulance services in Wisconsin are volunteer, private, fire-based or hospital-based. This program is nationally accredited through the committee on accreditation of educational programs for EMS professionals under the auspices of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education programs. • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification, Criminal Background Check, and immunization requirements • Aptitudes required for work of this nature are good physical stamina, endurance, and body, condition that would not be adversely affected by frequently having to walk, stand, lift, carry, and balance, at times, more than 125 lbs * Successful completion of EMR/EMT1 OR verification of a current WI DHS EMR license obtained AFTER 8/1/13

100% refund, if application for refund is made by the student prior to the first scheduled meeting of the course and the student does not add another course. 80% refund for a course is made before or at the time 10% of the course's total hours of instruction have been completed. 60% refund for a course is made after 10% but before more than 20% of the course's potential hours of instruction have been completed. No refund if application is made after 20% of the course's total hours.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
