Imagine a career in which you can make a difference in the lives of children every day. The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher program prepares individuals to be assistant teachers in a variety of settings. As a student in the program, you ll learn through a combination of hands-on fieldwork in area child care centers, working with children in the birth-to-five-years age range, along with related academic work at the College. The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher program 34 credits seamlessly transfer into the Early Childhood Education associate degree, providing grads the opportunity to advance their careers and pursue a bachelor degree. • Complete Caregiver Background Check annually. A fee is charged for this service. Additional information will be provided upon acceptance into the program. • Completed an American Heart Association CPR course prior to program entry to include the AED component for infants, toddlers and adults. Students are required to maintain a current CPR card on a two-year renewal cycle.

Early Childhood Education Associate's Degree

100% refund, if application for refund is made by the student prior to the first scheduled meeting of the course and the student does not add another course. 80% refund for a course is made before or at the time 10% of the course's total hours of instruction have been completed. 60% refund for a course is made after 10% but before more than 20% of the course's potential hours of instruction have been completed. No refund if application is made after 20% of the course's total hours.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
