The Medication Administration course is one of four DHS-required trainings for CBRF caregivers. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills to safely administer medications, document accurately, and recognize potential side effects or errors. Training covers state regulations, caregiver responsibilities, proper storage and handling of medications, and resident rights, with emphasis on safety and accountability. This class is an entry-level, stackable credential within the healthcare support pathway. Completers qualify for Resident Care Staff roles in CBRFs and can stack toward Home Health Aide/CNA and Medication Aide credentials, and later LPN/RN with additional education.
We provide individualized job placement support, including resume/cover-letter development, mock interviews, and application assistance. Students receive curated job leads with local assisted living and residential care partners, plus employer referrals and interview scheduling when available. We also host hiring events, offer reference letters upon request, and give post-placement support with 30/60/90-day check-ins. Coordination with workforce funders (e.g., WIOA/FSET) is available when applicable.

Registration fee, UW-Green Bay CBRF Employee Registry fees — $25 per class (Fire Safety, First Aid & Choking, Medication Administration, Standard Precautions) plus ARC CPR certification exam. This course requires 15 face-to-face contact hours and is designed to be completed in three days.
Students will receive a 100% refund if they cancel at least three business days before the start date, or 75% if they cancel at least two business days prior. No refunds are issued after the class begins or for no-shows. One seat-available transfer is permitted for $50 if requested at least 24 hours before the next start or within two business days after a no-show; this fee may be waived once for documented emergencies.
