Program Description

NWTC is here to provide you with the necessary skills to earn your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV). Our online theory course and behind-the-wheel training will educate you in safety competencies while operating a commercial motor vehicle (CMV). You’ll develop the skills required for Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) for range and road, including vehicle control and mastery of basic maneuvers such as coupling and uncoupling, equipment inspections, as well as skills required for industry needs. Additional Requirements

Must be 18 years of age and able to obtain Medical Examiner’s Certificate, Commercial Learner’s Permit, and FMCSA DOT drug screen. Maintaining a valid and clean driving record is important for your success in this industry.

Refunds are processed according to the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Refund Policy. Refunds are applicable only from the date the student officially drops the course(s) through Enrollment Services, any NWTC campus location, or my.NWTC. All classes have a limited number of seats available. Registration reserves a seat in a class. Students who decide to withdraw from a course should do so immediately, as a single day can make a difference in the amount of the refund.
