Length of program –2180 hours. OJT Wage- start $14.00, $15.50, $17.00 finish. Number of Active Apprentices – 5, Numbers of Completed Apprentices – 0, Graduation Rate – N/A, Minimum Requirements – 18 yrs old w/ HSED or equivalency. A. Introduction & Orientation to the Community Health Worker role and Orientation to the Work Environment. B. Overview of specialized and technical knowledge unique to the work environment. C. Cultural Competence. D. Organizational Skills. E. Ethical and professional practice. F. Communication. G. Develop community based networking and advocacy. H. Advocate and Support Empowerment. I. Health Literacy. J. Teach and Support Others. K. Local Optional Work Processes. L. Apprentice must complete the 8 hours Transition To Trainer course during the last 12 months of the Apprenticeship. M. Apprentice must obtain basic First-Aid and CPR prior to or during the first 3 months of the Apprenticeship. Show More
