In this online medical assistant certification course, you will learn a broad range of skills that make medical assistants versatile and valuable, including medical terminology, medical law and ethics, HIPAA rules, scheduling systems, and the importance of this position as healthcare team members. You will also be prepared to perform duties from the front office to the back office, including measuring vital signs, assisting with exams, performing laboratory testing, maintaining equipment and supplies, administering injections, obtaining blood specimens, scheduling appointments, registering patients, and answering and returning phone calls. Requirements: Hardware Requirements: This course can be taken on either a PC, Mac, or Chromebook. Software Requirements: PC: Windows 8 or later. Mac: macOS 10.6 or later. Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox is preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible. Microsoft Word Online Adobe Acrobat Reader Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins. Other: Email capabilities and access to a personal email account.

For refunds requested within ten (10) calendar days commencing on the date listed as the Start Date in the ed2go Student Center, one hundred percent (100%) of the tuition amount shall be refunded, provided no more than fifty percent (50%) of the program has been completed and all course materials are returned in as-new condition to ed2go at the Student’s expense. The cost of materials not received or those that cannot be returned shall not be refunded to the Student.
