Echocardiography - Associate Degree
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College
The Echocardiography program will provide instruction in sonographic practices and principles as well as sonographic imaging skills needed to prepare students for employment as entry-level adult cardiac sonographers. Students will use standard two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and Doppler ultrasound to produce still and dynamic images of the heart used by physicians to assist in the process of a medical diagnosis. Successful graduates will be prepared to sit for professional certification exams from a variety of national agencies, including the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Show More

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
