This state-approved nurse aide training program is designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required to become a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in Wisconsin. Over the course of 10 days, participants will engage in 76 hours of comprehensive training, combining classroom instruction with hands-on clinical practice. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Competency Exam. Passing this exam will qualify them for inclusion in the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry, allowing them to work as CNAs in the state. Show More

Applicants will need: current government issued ID, have caregiver background check approved, be at least 16 years old and be able to read and write with a 7th grade reading level. Must be physically able to perform required tasks/skills. Must provide proof of receiving flu shot during required months and have a negative TB test. Must be drug & alcohol free. Must be free of criminal convictions within the past 5 years or any convictions that prevent the student from being added to the Wisconsin nurse aide registry.

Applicants may register up until the day before the start of the training session, unless the training session is already full.
Nursing assistant, CBRF, homecare, personal aide, hospitals, long-term care, hospice. This certification is a requirement to most nursing programs. They may progress to LPN, RN, BSN.

Supportive Services: State of WI Examination fee is $131.25 (knowledge exam is $34 & skills exam is $97.25), doesn't include retakes; drug screen $50.00; QuantiFERON TB blood test $90.00; background check $20.00; CPR/BLS certification $130; onsite proctored testing for state exam $25 TOTAL = $446.25. Supplies/Materials include uniform with name badge $38.00; gown and gloves $25.75 TOTAL=$60.75
