Care Connection is state certified to educate others in community-based residential facility (CBRF) courses to become state certified to properly care for individuals who are vulnerable and may have disabilities. There are four courses that must be completed to become fully certified: Fire Safety, First Aid & Choking, Medication Administration and Standard Precautions. Our caregivers and participants will gain knowledge about persons who are elderly, who have developmental disabilities and physical delays and limitations. They will be trained in DHS 83 regulations on how to follow HIPPA Laws, learn medical and legal terminology, how to follow OSHA guidelines on safety standards regarding bloodborne pathogens and how to handle exposure incidents, recognize challenging behaviors, how to administer and document medication administration using the 6 rights of medication, prevent medication errors, recognize adverse side effects and how to prevent and handle fire emergencies. No refund - If any class(es) are missed, we will reschedule the missing class(es) one time within 30 days. If class(es) cannot be rescheduled within 30 days, the student must re-register and pay for the class(es) again.
