You may apply up to five months in advance of your desired start date. Check out our academic calendar to learn when our upcoming start dates are. There are new start dates every month, so you can get started when it’s convenient for you! If previously enrolled in Flex, please review our returning student admissions process. If you are applying pre-licensure, you will apply as a Special Student. Instructions are available through this link.
While the program is open to all students who meet the admissions requirements, UWM also partners with Guild, a tuition benefits management company. UW Health is a Guild employer partner, and UW Health employees can use their tuition benefits on this program.
Offered through UWM's Career Services office: https://uwm.edu/set/career-communities-services/

Single Course Option: You may also focus on just one course at a time. The tuition for this option is $1,125. In this option, you are not eligible to add additional courses during your subscription period if you finish the first one early. In this case, you must wait until your next subscription period to add additional courses. All-You-Can-Learn Option: This option allows you to enroll in as many courses as you have time for within the subscription period for a flat tuition rate of $2,250. You can add additional courses in your subscription period if you finish others early. Cost of textbooks vary by course.
If you withdraw from a UW Flexible Option program within eight days of the start of the subscription period, you are refunded all (100%) tuition, less a $50 administrative fee. Withdrawals between the 9th and 11:59PM on the 21st day of the subscription period are eligible for a 50% tuition refund. Withdrawing on or after the 22nd day of the subscription period does not grant any tuition refund. https://flex.wisconsin.edu/tuition-financial-aid/tuition/uw-milwaukee-payments-refunds/

PLEASE NOTE:

If there are fewer than eight enrollments in the training program, only the "Enrollments" number will be displayed; all other data is hidden in order to help protect the students' identities. The "Employment Outcomes" are calculated using information from Wisconsin's Unemployment Insurance Wage database. Most employers are required to report certain employment information to the State of Wisconsin, including quarterly wage information for their employees. Students whose information could not be verified in this database are excluded from these outcomes. If a "0" shows for any of these outcomes, it means that none of the students' information could be verified.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
