The Certified Nurse Aide program provides the highest quality education and skill training to prepare students to become professional, safe, and competent members of the healthcare team. Graduates become pioneers on their first steps toward upward educational and financial mobility. Students are prepared to take and pass the Wisconsin certification exam and have the necessary skills to gain employment as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Upon successful completion of the CNA program, students will be able to: 1. Master the basic nursing skills of a Nurse Aide to assist a professional Nurse to provide quality patient/resident care in a variety of settings, and to assist a professional successfully pass the state certifying exam to become a Certified Nurse Aide(CNA). Demonstrate mastery and competency of physical care skills, personal care skills, emotional/psycho-social care skills, mobility nutrition and hydration, elimination, and therapeutic procedures.
