The Medical Coding Specialist one-year technical diploma will prepare you for entry-level diagnosis and procedure coding positions in a variety of health care settings as well as governmental agencies, computer software companies and consulting firms. Medical coding involves reviewing health care provider documentation located in medical records and translating this documentation into alpha-numeric formats called codes. WI TechConnect is CVTC’s online job board where employers advertise their part-time, full-time and internship opportunities for technical college students, both current and alumni. Students can post their resume, create an e-folio, access resources regarding your job search, and learn about upcoming career fair events happening at various CVTC campuses.
Academic support, such as peer tutoring, live help tutoring/virtual, and writing lab services available through our Academic Development and Services department.

Refunds are issues to students because of a credit balance due to overpayment by a student on their account, withdrawal during the refund period at the start of the semester, or excess financial aid funds applied to the student's account. MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
