Fire Safety Training is a class required by the state of Wisconsin to be taken someone starting a position with a Community-Based, Residential Facility (CBRF) Assisted Living or Memory Care home within 90 days of their hire date. The Healthcare Workforce Training Institute's Standard Precautions classes are online live, instructor-led learning. It is required that students to be on a device with internet access, a camera (turned on), and a microphone to visibly and audibly participate in the online live learning. Class meets in real time online, so attendance is required for all scheduled hours of the class. This program is offered

All classes at the Healthcare Workforce Training Institute are offered multiple times per month. Therefore, students can register at any time for the class that will best meet their schedule and needs.
In order to work in a Community Based, Residential Facility (CBRF) Assisted Living, Memory Care, and/or some group homes an individual must have the Fire Safety course completed within 90 days of their hire date. Once done this certification is completed for life and allows them to adjust their employment in this level of healthcare freely. In addition, it can be a steppingstone to becoming a certified nursing assistant (CNA), registered nurse (RN), or really any avenue in the field of healthcare.

The fee for this class is $95.00, which includes all online materials and the CBRF State Registry fee.
A refund may be requested in writing up to 10 days prior to the first day of class. There is a 10% administrative fee for all refunds.
