CPT HSED (Certified Production Technician High School Equivalency Diploma)

The CPT HSED is a unique way to bridge those in need of a high school credential directly to a career pathway in the manufacturing trades. Participants in the program have the opportunity to earn their high school equivalency diploma by completing a curriculum based on competencies aligned with the nationally recognized and implemented Common Core State Standards alongside the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council Certified Production Technician (CPT) and Skill Boss certifications.
The CPT+Skill Boss program is a standardized, comprehensive 120-hour manufacturing curriculum designed to prepare certificants with the next generation skills to work in a computer-driven, data-intensive advanced manufacturing workplace. This allows learners to apply their knowledge through projects, alternative assessments, hands-on learning modules, and experiential learning.
Graduates of the program will leave with a DPI-issued HSED, the CPT and Skill Boss certificates, CPR and OSHA training.

Students must complete reading, writing, and math skills assessments at NRS level 3 or higher.
Students must be at least 18.5 years old and in need of a secondary credential.
Students must be physically fit and prepared for the manufacturing industry.
A program that requires its students to demonstrate they have successfully acquired a set of skills or knowledge base prior to completing the program. Compare to a "time-based" training program that results in successful completion if the students participate in a certain number of instructional hours.
