The Associate Degree Nursing Program prepares students to provide care, education, support, and guidance regarding health conditions to patients, their families, and the public. Registered Nurses provide care in a variety of settings including acute care, long-term care, and community health. The program is approved by the Michigan State Board of Nursing. Graduates are eligible to apply to the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) for licensing as a registered nurse.

Progression: Students successfully completing the first and second semesters of nursing classes and the LPN exit out class are eligible to sit for the LPN licensure exam. Students successfully completing the Associate Degree program are eligible to sit for the RN licensure exam. Licensed LPNs wishing to obtain their RN degree may apply for the advanced standing LPN-RN program.
Clinical Practice Variety of opportunities at hospitals, clinics, long-term care, behavioral health, and community settings. Clinical experiences will allow you to network with professionals on the healthcare team and potential employers. Clinical sites are available in the Houghton and Ironwood regions with specialized Behavioral Health and ICU opportunities in Marquette. Classes, labs, and Simulations are offered in both Ironwood and Houghton during the first year of the ADN program. Classes, labs, and simulations are offered at the Ironwood campus during the second year of the ADN program.
Peer tutors are available in most subjects to assist students with working through coursework, identifying effective learning strategies, and developing academic skills. Peer tutoring is FREE to all students! Tutor schedules are available at the beginning of each semester. Group study can be organized upon request.

Each semester, all students receive a Facility Fee, Information Technology Fee, Institutional Fee, and Student Fee.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
