The Medical Scribe Professional program is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with the requisite knowledge and skills needed to gain AMSP certification and ultimately employment as a Medical Scribe. Training in the program is centered around instructor-led videos as the primary means of instruction. The program objectives include discussing the roles and responsibilities of a Medical Scribe as part of the healthcare team, complying with relevant law and ethics, the Omnibus Rule, HIPAA, and HITECH, demonstrating electronic health record documentation as applicable, and explaining how medical coding play a role and impacts the clinic workflow and revenue cycle. This program has open enrollment and does not have any application deadlines.
The Career Services staff support students in their employment search by leveraging our national employer partnership network to connect graduates with employers in their local area. MedCerts has a job search databank where students can search employment networks to find local or national job listings for companies in their field of study. Also, relevant, and local job leads are emailed to students on a regular basis. The Career Services department will also help with resume and cover letter writing, interview tips and tricks, and expanding job search strategies.
Students may request tutoring services for any subject matter they need additional assistance with.
