Entry-level IT Project Associate

This program combines foundational IT and Project Management skills/knowledge, preparing students for a career as an entry-level IT Project Associate. Students will learn fundamental skills and concepts required to maintain, support and work efficiently with personal computers, to include: Set up a computer workstation, use basic software applications Explain the functions/types of devices used within a computer system Apply basic computer maintenance and support principles Describe some principles of software/database development Configure computersmobile devices to connect to home networks and to the Internet Identify security issues The program follows the PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) Guide and Standards, which are accepted by the Project Management Institute (PMI), the global standard. Students taking this course should have the following skills: end-user skills with Windows®-based personal computers and general IT knowledge. There are no prerequisites for taking this course. However, the more technical knowledge a student has, the more they will understand about the concepts.

We offer interviewing practice sessions and resume reviews. Professional job placement assistance through recruiting and business partnerships is available to career development students.
