Career Pathways Bridge Mig Welding
Northeast Wisconsin Technical College
The Career Pathway Bridge (CPB) MIG Welding program is open to ELL and Basic Education students, is team taught with both a Welding instructor and a support BE/ELL Instructor. English Language acquisition and remediation in basic academic skills of reading, writing, and math are integrated within the CPB MIG Welding program. As a Welding graduate, you can build and repair metal components using major welding processes used by industry. You have knowledge of blueprints, metallurgy and layout, and can weld to AWS and ASME codes. Typical careers include maintenance welders, qualified welders, structural welders, welder/fabricators and pipe welders. CPB Intro to MIG Welding is an 8-credit certificate. Students could qualify for WIOA funding to cover program-related expenses, including tuition, and can work with the Adult Ed Navigator to apply for scholarships and/or set up NWTC payment plans.
Refunds are processed according to the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Refund Policy. Refunds are applicable only from the date the student officially drops the course(s) through Enrollment Services, any NWTC campus location, or my.NWTC. All classes have a limited number of seats available. Registration reserves a seat in a class. Students who decide to withdraw from a course should do so immediately, as a single day can make a difference in the amount of the refund.
