The primary mission of the Concordia s social work program is to prepare graduates for baccalaureate level, generalist, social work practice, within the context of faith, service and social justice. To fulfill this mission, the program is based on the Council on Social Work Education s nine competencies: Demonstrate Ethical & Professional Behavior Engage Diversity and Difference in Practice Advance Human Rights and Social, Economic, and Environmental Justice Engage in Practice-informed Research and Research-informed Practice Engage in Policy Practice Engage with Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations, and Communities Assess Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations, and Communities Intervene with Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations and Communities Evaluate Practice with Individuals, Families, Groups, Organizations, and Communities One can transfer in up to 84 credits from an accredited institution. Rolling admission with start dates every 8 weeks throughout the year.
Program curriculum provides the student with the education necessary to be successful in their chosen field. Each student is assigned an Academic and Career Advisor who assists them throughout their program.
Concordia University has a genuine desire to work with partners in the community. Companies who agree to partner are able to access customized professional development opportunities and employer spotlight recruiting opportunities. Employees of partner companies receive a Business Community Scholarship.
Social Work students are required to complete a year-long, professionally-supervised internship consisting of 450 hours of direct supervised service activities within a Social Work agency. This often leads to future employment. Every Concordia student has access to Handshake, the largest internship and job search platform designed specifically for college students. Internships complement coursework and help students discover how their gifts and talents are best used in the workplace. Students have access to numerous internships and full-time jobs in Wisconsin and nationwide.
Tutoring and Academic Support Services are available per student request. Concordia has an on-campus and an evening virtual drop-in Academic Resource Center that provides tutoring services and a writing/math lab. Concordia also has a contract with TutorMe to provide web-based tutoring and writing assistance to non-traditional students.

The books and fees may vary by program. Concordia University allows for transfer of up to 84 credits toward a bachelor's degree from another accredited college or university.
