The CHES Nurse Assistant (CNA) Training Program is approved by the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Upon passing the course, students are eligible to take the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Examination in order to be listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry. The CHES CNA program is completed in at least 80 hours. Approximately 45 hours are to be completed online/remotely and consists of web-based lectures, videos, quizzes, and assignments. The remaining 35 hours will be in-person. The in-person portion consists of 19 hours of hands-on skills demonstration and competency check offs at the CHES skills lab and a 16-hour clinical rotation (two 8-hr days) at local hospital in Madison, WI . Additional requirements include evidence of certain vaccinations, tuberculosis testing, purchase of a uniform, and other requirements as set forth by the clinical site at the time of training.

Dependent on course offerings, which are scheduled 6-8 months in advance.

Books and materials included in tuition. State Examination fee is $125 (doesn't include retakes). Viewpoint Screening Package $60 (3rd party web portal that validates background checks, health requirements, & other requirements for clinical onboarding). Basic Life Support Certification $70 (if a student is already BLS certified, this fee will be waived/refunded). Student responsible for purchasing a uniform and any costs incurred for completing health and other requirements (e.g. vaccinations).
Once enrolled in the course, voluntary withdrawal or termination from the course will not result in refund of fees. If as student is already certified in BLS, then the $70 fee would be refunded.

Most employers are required to report certain employment information to the State of Wisconsin, including quarterly wage information for their employees. MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
