This completely online, pre-credential education program sets you on the path for a Substance Abuse Counselor career and you can complete the program in just one year. Our Substance Abuse Counseling program is approved by the state of Wisconsin and fulfills all requirements (360 hours of comprehensive specialized education) necessary to sit for the licensing exam. The deadline for fall semester is August 1. Priority deadline for fall semester is April 15 and that will give you a better chance at registration and housing choices. The deadline for spring semester is January 15.

$599 per course, per semester. Course Tuition: Online course fee is $975.00 per course. You will pay your tuition through your UW-Superior E-Hive account. The pricing for credit is $975.00 ($915.00 + $60 Technology Fee) for a 3-credit course and $670.00 ($610.00 + $60 Technology Fee) for a 2-credit course. The pricing for non-credit is $599 for a 3-credit course or $399 for a 2-credit course. For non-credit discounts you would work with the Center for Continuing Education.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
