Become an integral member of the surgical team and work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses and other surgical staff. The main role of the surgical technologist is to ensure a safe surgical environment before, during and after surgery. You ll gain hands-on experience learning roles and responsibilities through FVTC s state-of-the-art operating room suites and simulation technology. You ll be able to apply your knowledge and skills to the responsibilities of preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, ensuring the appropriate supplies and equipment are available and working properly for each procedure, passing instruments to the surgeon during the procedure, maintaining a sterile field, and preparing and applying sterile dressings after the procedures. Refunds are processed according to the WTCS refund policy. Wisconsin Technical College 10.08, Wisconsin Administrative Code, establishes the requirements for district policies and procedures related to student fee refunds. Refunds are applicable only from the date the student officially drops the class through Enrollment Services or online. FVTC will not drop any classes for students for nonpayment or for failure to attend any portion of the class. All references to student fees mean applicable

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
