Moraine Park s Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) Certificate prepares students for entry-level employment as gas tungsten arc welders in as little as six months, and students can also choose to continue their education by applying their certificate credits to the Welding technical diploma. Gas tungsten arc welding, also known as TIG welding, is a welding process that can be used on most metals and alloys, and is popular for production and repair welding needs. This program is offered

Program applications are accepted until a week prior to the start of each semester. There are some exceptions for programs or certificates that begin mid-semester. Some high-demand/limited-enrollment programs reach capacity based on the number of students who complete admission. Applicants are accepted into limited-enrollment programs on a first-come, first-served basis and are admitted from program waitlists as space becomes available.
Students can choose to continue their education by applying their certificate credits to the Welding technical diploma.
Advisory board committee members from area businesses provide guidance and direction on curriculum and program outcomes.
Moraine Park offers Employment Services and Career Services to students.
Tutoring is available online and face to face for our students.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
