Chapter DHS 83, Wisconsin Administrative Code for Community-Based Residential Facilities provides four department-approved training topics (standard precautions, first aid and choking, fire safety, and medication administration), outlined in DHS 83.20. Continuing expanding education classes (residents rights, dietary menu planning, diabetes, challenging behaviors, client group specific and individual service plan) are included to ensure each student has a well rounded understanding of resident and community care needs. Each student must be 16 years of age or older and must be able to read and write competently. All ONLINE CLASS PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE AN IN PERSON MED PASS AND SKILLS APPLIED SESSION.

Immediate placement
This program allows all who complete to gain critical cares and skills in dealing with those who have mental/emotional/physical disabilities, elderly, youth as well as those who have cognitive impairments. It also open up avenues into the field of LPN and RN, counseling, recreational development as well as opening and establishing a group home/adult family home or assisted living for those in the community.
All students receive a list of of employers who are hiring and upon completion of class employers come to the site with applications or have them dropped off for immediate hire if student chooses to go with the company.

TUITION INCLUDES BOOKS AND ANY SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS THE PARTICIPANT MAY NEED. THERE ARE NO ADDITONAL FEES

PLEASE NOTE:

The "Employment Outcomes" are calculated using information from Wisconsin's Unemployment Insurance Wage database. Most employers are required to report certain employment information to the State of Wisconsin, including quarterly wage information for their employees. Students whose information could not be verified in this database are excluded from these outcomes. If a "0" shows for any of these outcomes, it means that none of the students' information could be verified.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
