The Complete Project Manager with CAPM & PMP Prep
University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Continuing Education
07/14/2020
In this course for seasoned project managers you will work through the full project life cycle to understand how decisions made in the early stages of the project form the foundation for executing, controlling, and ultimately closing it. This is a course bundle: Project Management Essentials with CAPM Prep and Mastering Project Management with PMP Prep. It is based on the current Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide), which establishes the international standard regarding the project management discipline. This project management course meets or exceeds the requirements for those interested in the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and PMP certifications. You must schedule and pay for the CAPM and PMP certification exams on your own after course completion. If you are already certified, the contact hours may be applied for the PMP exam education prerequisite or as professional development units. Show More

basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate the Internet and use e-mail, are required. This course will prepare you to sit for the CAPM exam. To qualify for the exam, you must meet one of the following eligibility requirements: Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree or the global equivalent); 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam (This course meets the education requirement). Prerequisites for PMP candidates: formal project management education and project management experience. Education: minimum of 35 hours of formal project management training (This course meets the education requirement). PMI also requires project management experience in a leadership role. You don't have to have the title "project manager," but you do need to demonstrate that your experience is in a leadership role of some sort. In the exam application, you'll document the number of hours you personally performed project work.

PLEASE NOTE:

If there are fewer than eight enrollments in the training program, only the "Enrollments" number will be displayed; all other data is hidden in order to help protect the students' identities. The "Employment Outcomes" are calculated using information from Wisconsin's Unemployment Insurance Wage database. Most employers are required to report certain employment information to the State of Wisconsin, including quarterly wage information for their employees. Students whose information could not be verified in this database are excluded from these outcomes. If a "0" shows for any of these outcomes, it means that none of the students' information could be verified.

MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
