If you d like to embark on a career in Human Resources, this certification is the first step. With the SHRM Certified Professional certification, you ll be ready to apply on HR Assistant positions to help build the talent of a company. In this course, you ll learn about three key areas for HR: People, Organization and Workplace. Inside these big picture topics are essential areas like talent acquisition, organizational effectiveness, labor relations, risk management and more. The program is an intense, two-week overview of the career and it ends with an industry-recognized certificate: SHRM Certified Professional. As an HR Specialist or Coordinator, you ll perform the activities of the human resources department. You ll screen, recruit, interview and place employees. We provide resources to support effective job search techniques, strategies, and tools like: resume development, interview skills and leveraging LinkedIn. We offer interviewing practice sessions and resume reviews. Professional job placement assistance through recruiting and business partnerships is available to career development students.
