Early Childhood Administrator Certificate
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee - School of Continuing Education
01/01/1998
The Child Care administrator or director is the key to quality programs that allow children to thrive. The Early Care and Education Administration Certificate provides practical information on day-to-day operations and management skills that can immediately be put into use. Completion of the certificate includes the commission process to earn the Administrator Credential from The Wisconsin Registry. According to DCF Licensing Rules: Table 251.05(B) Within three years of assuming the position, (a director) must complete the Wisconsin Child Care Administrator Credential if they do not currently hold a Associate or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. This certificate is recognized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) as meeting part of an alternative pathway for program administrators to achieve educational qualifications for NAEYC Early Childhood Program Accreditation.
