This pre-licensure bachelor degree in nursing program prepares the generalist nurse with a focus on practice which is holistic, caring, safe, quality, and evidence-based client/patient care. The baccalaureate nurse generalist assumes the role of provider of direct and indirect care, designer, coordinator, and manager of care, and has membership in the profession as an advocate for clients/patients and the professions (AACN, 2008). Nursing Program Requirements - Nursing students admitted unconditionally to Herzing’s pre-licensure nursing programs must meet the criteria as defined below in addition to the university-wide Undergraduate Admissions Criteria. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Admission without a Prior College Degree Option, Applicants must meet all the following criteria: A high school or college grade point average (GPA) of *2.5 or higher. The bachelors degree in Nursing is a pathway for those student with an associates degree in Nursing (Registered Nurse) as well as those who hold a Practical Nurse license. (LPN) Once completing the BSN, student can enroll in a Masters degree with a variety of specialties such as Nurse Leader, Nurse Educator, Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

In addition, the career development office is committed to supporting students in reaching their employment objectives. MAKING SENSE OF THE EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES:

"Average quarterly wages" means the total wages earned in a three-month period by all students who completed the program ("completers"), divided by the total number of completers.

"Median quarterly wages" means all the completers' quarterly wages are placed in order from lowest to highest and then we identify the student's wages in the middle. This information is provided because averages can be greatly influenced by really high and low wage earners.

To estimate monthly wages, divide the quarterly wages by three.
